SteelFab 2017, a leading trade show for the metal-working, metal-manufacturing and steel fabrication industry in the region, witnessed a huge turnout of visitors comprising businessmen, investors, decision-makers and representatives of steel, iron and heavy industries manufacturers.
The expo, which was held in Sharjah, UAE, last month (January 17 to 19) attracted more than 1,000 national and international brands, representing a wide array of Emirati and international companies, and exhibiting their latest products over an exhibition area of 26,000 sq m.
Organised at Expo Centre Sharjah, SteelFab serves as an ideal platform to showcase the latest technologies and hardware in metal fabrication, surface engineering, metal finishing, metal shredding, milling, cutting and equipment manufacturing, in addition to other related engineering specialties.
Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, the chief executive of Expo Centre Sharjah and chairman of UFI’s MEA Chapter, said: “The event has become an excellent platform for the exchange of expertise and views among major industry players and decision makers.”
He pointed out that the iron and steel industry is a strategic sector and the increased demand for this industry signals industrial and economic growth.
Expo Centre Sharjah is committed to support the steel and iron industries locally and regionally, by regularly hosting the SteelFab Middle East and promoting it as a major international event on the calendar of this strategic industry, he added.
