01 May 2018

AlKifah Holding has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Schneider Electric to digitise its processes to enable it to optimise its activities and keep pace with the latest trends in its field.

The company is focused on using the latest automation technologies and energy management in all its facilities and operations.

According to a company spokesman, through this strategic partnership, AlKifah Holding seeks to enhance its know-how, and reinforce its commitment to the environment, through the optimal use of energy.

Schneider Electric provides integrated efficiency solutions, combining energy, automation, and software.

The MoU was signed by AlKifah Holding’s CEO Abdulaziz AlAfaleq and Schneider Electric’s CEO in Saudi Arabia Najib Al Naeem.  Also present at the signing ceremony were AlKifah board member Osama AlAfaleq, and the CEO of AlKifah Contracting (KCC) Ibrahim Salem.

“Schneider Electric will provide the necessary support to AlKifah by supplying it with the latest technologies, conducting training courses for company engineers, familiarising them with the technologies, and discussing the optimal ways to use them,” says the spokesman.

“The project’s initial phases have been implemented and 25 engineers from AlKifah have been trained,”  he continues.

“It is expected that the training courses will be extended to a more advanced level, and will include a larger number of engineers during the next period,” the spokesman adds.

Established close to five decades ago, AlKifah Holding is a leading Saudi group with a number of companies active in the various sectors of the economy, notably construction and the manufacture of construction solutions. The company has also contributed to real estate development in the Eastern Province.

Schneider Electric is leading the digital transformation of energy management and automation in homes, buildings, data centres, infrastructure, and industries.
