Work on the Museum of the Future in Dubai, is progressing at a steady pace and the iconic landmark is on track for opening in 2020, said a report.
The construction site was visited by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, as part of his project supervision work.
He also visited the Dubai Future Foundation and was briefed on the development of work at various projects undertaken by the foundation, reported state news agency Wam.
The Museum of the Future is considered to be a unique incubator for futuristic innovation and design. The project is designed by Killa Design and will be built in part using 3D printing technologies, and will change over time to test and reflect the latest advancements in various fields. The contractor on the project is BAM International.
In addition to becoming a major tourist destination, the museum will offer advanced courses and specialised workshops, as well as public talks and events. It is intended to offer a platform to demonstrate and test the latest inventions and prototypes from up-and-coming start-ups and technology giants.
