BDF to upgrade facilities

01 October 2015

A multi-million-dinar agreement has been signed between the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) and property developer KMC to build a multi-storey clinic and car-park building at the BDF Military Hospital at Wadi Al Sail in Bahrain’s West Riffa area.

Valued at BD21 million ($55.67 million), the project will come up on a 6,378-sq-m plot of land, and is expected to be completed in 20 months.

The contract was signed between BDF Hospital royal medical services director Major General Professor Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa and KMC general manager Mohammed Al Shalfan.

“The project will, undoubtedly, contribute to the upgrading of medical services offered to defence personnel, their families and citizens and create job opportunities for Bahraini nationals,” said Shaikh Khalid.

Al Shalfan said the purpose-built clinic and car-park building will meet all safety requirements and have all necessary facilities.
