Mega City Infrastructure Week now to be held in September

01 April 2020

The Mega City Infrastructure Week, a leading city infrastructure event in the Middle East region that focues on roads, housing, port and stormwater projects under one roof, has been postponed to September over Covid-19 pandemic fears.

The Mega City Infrastructure Week brings together global visionaries, city planners and key stakeholders working on major infrastructure projects to Dubai, said the event organiser IQPC.

It also serves as a platform for stakeholders driving trillion-dollar infrastructure projects in the Middle East and North Africa region to facilitate discussions around upcoming projects, challenges, and opportunities to develop smart, innovative and sustainable city infrastructure of the future, it added.

Being held with support of Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme and Supreme Council of Planning and Development Kuwait, the event was set to run from April 5 to 7 at Taj Dubai, said the event organiser.

In light of the travel advisories around the Covid-19 virus, preventing key industry stakeholders and partners to travel, the mega event has now moved to the September 22 to 24 slot, it added.
