More than 94 per cent of the work has been completed on the 960-unit Bateen Al Samar Housing Project being developed under the UAE government’s Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme (SZHP) in the northern emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
Bateen Al Samar Residential District is being developed in two phases. With work in full swing, nearly 888 out of the 960 homes are expected to be delivered by the end of 2020, said Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure and Chairman of the Housing Programme.
In Bateen Al Samar I, a total of 354 houses will come up over a 905,000-sq-m area, while the second phase of the SZHP project will have residential units in two areas - one with 277 homes on a 521,000-sq-m area and the second with 329 homes on a 780,000-sqm area. The residential project is being completed despite the significant challenges resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic, stated Al Mazrouei.
