Al Semsam goes international

Dubai-based Al Semsam Building Materials said it has achieved yet another major milestone in the passive fire protection category, when its team was awarded a prestigious international project.
An ESAG Group member, the building materials company has secured a deal to supply materials for the Jet fire barrier system for Neste’s MR001 refinery expansion project in Singapore.
“This milestone was accomplished in conjunction with our principals and partners, some of whom are based across continents – making this feat a remarkable one,” said an official for Al Semsam Building Materials. “Once installed as per the manufacturer’s recommendation, the system will form a barrier providing a safe exit route with a 120-minute fire rating. This will ensure a safe passage for plant operatives in the event of a fire and ample time for fire-fighters to rescue them and protect the property.”
Detailed review and compliance of specifications, while developing the manufacturer’s system as per the drawings provided require rigorous brainstorming and analysis, he said.
“Hence, securing this order is a validation that hard work pays off,” the official added.
With this milestone, Al Semsam and ESAG Group have further expanded their horizons and reinforced their global status.
