Everplas, a leading Bahrain-based plastic pipes manufacturer, has chalked out ambitious plans to more than triple its production capacity on the back of increasing demand for its quality products, according to its General Manager.
Speaking to Gulf Construction magazine, M Sayed Mohamed Al Alawi says: “With the daily increase in client demands for our products, we are working on plans to boost our production capacity from 900 tonnes to around 3,000 tonnes per month.”
Everplas has been at the forefront of the plastic industry in Bahrain since its establishment in 2013, with its quality assurance department ensuring that its pipes are manufactured to international standards such as ASTM, BS, BSEN, DIN and AS/NZS.
The company has also been able to get approvals from SASO (Saudi Arabian Standards Organization), and meets SABER as well as ISO9001 quality standards.
“Everplas manufactures pipes as per international standards which are approved for the region. The quality of our products, competitive prices, proactive and supportive customer services and efficient after-sales services are our unique selling points that ensure customer satisfaction and their trust in our company,” he says.
The company’s ongoing research and development programmes continue to add new products to its range which includes PVC pipes for water supply, drainage and sewerage applications, uPVC for electrical conduit and telecommunication applications, and cPVC pipes for hot and cold water and waste water systems.
Apart from pipes, Everplas has recently added injection-moulded items to its product portfolio.
In response to customer demand, the company is also looking at expanding its range of products “in the very near future”, Al Alawi indicates.
Despite the fierce competition in the market, Everplas has witnessed steady demand for its products, which has been increasing month on month, according to Al Alawi.
“Our main priority is to provide our clients high-quality products at very competitive rates with the best service, which enables us to maintain a long-term strong relationship with our client as well as grow our company,” he remarks.
Everplas currently has a production capacity of approximately 30 tonnes per day (900 tonnes per month).
Besides the Bahrain market, Everplas supplies to Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Jordan, exporting its products directly to these markets.
“Our biggest export market in the region is Saudi Arabia,” he says.
Everplas has supplied some major projects in Saudi Arabia including those for the Ministry of Housing in Al Hakmya, Al Farsan, Madi and Al Aroba 2.
Commenting on goals for next year, Al Alawi says the company is planning firstly to increase its production capacity and secondly to increase the size ranges of its products.
