Versatile Paschal modular systems continue to gain popularity in the construction of villa projects in the region, with the formwork from Germany’s Paschal-Werk G Maier now being used on a growing number of such developments, particularly in Dubai, UAE.
Some of the latest contractors to start using these formwork solutions on villa projects at Dubai Hills Estate include Inficom S A Construction, Sarah Contracting, Gestalt Contracting and Indogulf Contracting Company, according to Paschal Concrete Forms, the Bahrain-based regional office of the German formwork manufacturer.
Dubai Hills Estate is a master development in Mohammed Bin Rashid City situated between the two major thoroughfares of Al Khail Road and Mohammed Bin Zayed Road. The extensive residential and lifestyle development comprises villas, low-rise apartments and townhouses.
“The Dubai Hills area consists of lots of villa projects. We have supplied our materials for more than 15 companies since last year,” Amir Delghandi, General Director of Paschal Concrete Forms, tells Gulf Construction.
“Most of the contractors for these villa projects don’t have a crane facility and have limited working areas. They prefer to use the Paschal system because it is light weight, it takes very short forming time due to its simple connection technique and can be used even with or without crane –the formwork can be erected very fast,” he adds.
The formwork systems and support are provided by Paschal Emirates Company, the Dubai branch of Paschal Concrete Forms.
Inficom S A Construction is using the German formwork systems in the construction of the retaining walls, columns and cores walls of villas and swimming pools on Plot Nos 63110660 and 6311066 of Dubai Hills. The villas include a basement, a ground and upper level and rooftop and are being built for the client Abdul Aziz Mohd Ali Al Matrooshi.
Paschal formwork is also proving its versatility in the construction of columns and core walls of villas (also comprising a basement, a ground level and upper level and rooftop) by Sarah Contracting on Plot Nos 6313377, 6316668 and 6317017 at Dubai Hills.
Gestalt Contracting and Indogulf Contracting Company too are building villas comprising a basement, a ground level and upper level on Plot Nos 6316507 and 6316508 respectively, where the formwork is being utilised in the construction of retaining wall and columns.
Other UAE-based contractors such as Nashie Contracting, Shaharco Contracting and Al Ishrak Contracting Company have also used Paschal systems in the construction of their villa projects located in Dubai Hills Estate. Other projects at Dubai Hills Estate where Paschal formwork systems were recently used include a nursery and retail facilities (parapet wall and water tank) built by VGC Building Contracting.
Among other new villa developments under way, Perorient Building Contracting is working on a ground-plus-one-level villa and farm on Plot No 2710735 at Wadi Alamardi in Dubai, using Paschal materials for the construction of the majlis and main villa columns.
Meanwhile, Paschal formwork is also helping in speeding up work on a crucial infrastructure project under construction, the Etihad Rail, where these systems are being utilised by GSR Contracting in the construction of the power ducts as part of the UAE’s national railway network’s power future duct layout in Abu Dhabi.
Among other projects, Trojan General Contracting is using Paschal formwork to shape a retaining wall as part of the Critical Warehousing Capacity Enhancement Project (Consultancy Services for KLP06 & KLP07 – Block D at Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (Kizad) in Abu Dhabi.
Paschal systems have been used by most of the leading contractors in the UAE such as Transemirates Contracting, ANC Contracting, General Construction Company, Al Shafar General Contracting, Al Tatweer Contracting (part of the Belhasa Group), Larsen & Toubro Construction, IAS Lootah Contracting, and Pivot Engineering, among others.
Paschal is a sought-after partner for concrete projects worldwide, with customers in more than 40 countries and 50 years of experience.
