Onyx SkyView poised to break ground

Kooheji Development, one of Bahrain’s leading real estate companies, has launched its latest mixed-use project Onyx SkyView, a distinctive architectural landmark comprising three interlocking towers that will grace the horizons at Bahrain Bay in the heart of the capital.

Strategically positioned opposite the iconic Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain, the towers will soar to height of 200 m and create a unique visual signature with their staggered balconies that offer expansive bayside views from the residential apartments. 

Onyx SkyView is the second Kooheji Property to dot the skyline of Bahrain Bay, after the iconic Onyx Bahrain Bay which is now receiving its finishing touches.

Speaking to Gulf Construction, Kooheji Development’s CEO Engineer Mohamed Abdulghaffar Al Kooheji says: “Driven by our vision to create inspiring living experiences and banking on our intensive in-house capabilities, we have ventured to announce the ultra-luxury mixed-use development project – Onyx SkyView project.

Architectural marvel

“Onyx SkyView will be an engineering marvel, a distinguished architectural mass in terms of shape and colour. The distinctive architectural blocks of the tower reflect Kooheji’s brand architectural spectrum through its three different exterior cladding colours,” he says.

Kooheji Development has teamed up with Bahrain’s leading architectural and engineering firm Mohamed Salahuddin Consulting Engineering Bureau (MSCEB) to create this striking mixed-use project, which has been designed to high architectural standards.

Featuring a grand main entrance facing the Four Seasons hotel, the complex spreads over an area of 108,000 sq m and comprises luxury residences, offices as well as an attractive retail unit along the two sides of the project.  The 53-level skyscraper boasts 435 ultra-luxury residences, 40 offices, and seven retail units. The offices are accommodated over 10 floors with four offices per floor.

The ground-breaking will be held this month (January) and the construction work will be carried out over several phases, with the project targeted for completion in December 2027.

The spacious and ultra-luxury residences at Onyx SkyView are a carefully curated collection of studio, one-, two- and 3.5-bedroom apartments combining distinctive design, and inspired lifestyle inclusions in the best layouts and space planning within the Kooheji Development residential towers portfolio.

The mixed-use development also benefits from close proximity to major shopping malls and is within walking distance of the buzzing life of Bahrain Bay.
