Wynn Resorts Limited has announced that work was moving at a steady pace on its newest resort – Wynn Al Marjan Island – coming up in Ras Al Khaimah with 55 per cent of the structural concrete work completed.
Set to be the first integrated gaming resort in the Mena region, the Wynn Al Marjan Island is being developed in partnership with Marjan and RAK Hospitality Holding.
Giving a project update, Wynn said Wynn Al Marjan Island is witnessing the completion of one floor per week. The resort, that has grown by 44 m in the last 100 days, is expected to be completed by December 2025.
The concrete structure is complete up to the 26th floor of the main resort tower, stated the developer.
Wynn Resorts maintains its own full-service design and architectural team. There are currently 9,100 construction team members onsite, and more than 100 concrete trucks in place on the site per day, it added.
“Wynn Design and Development (WDD) has employed more than 90 talented architects, designers, and creative visionaries who are overseeing all facets of the project’s design and development,” said a company spokesman.
Fit-out work is under way in approximately 820 rooms – including all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services. The elevator and escalator installation also began in November, he stated.
On completion, the resort will offer 1,542 rooms, a 15,000-sq m shopping promenade and a 7,500-sq-m meetings and events centre, along with a theatre.
