New pushbutton lock offers dual advantage

Ilco Unican of the US has launched the 8100 Series push-button lock which is said to provide the durability and dependability of a mechanical pushbutton lock with the added security of a mortice deadbolt.
Describing the system, a spokesman for the company says: ''The 8100 Series pushbutton lock is designed to allow keyless entry for high-traffic areas in commercial and industrial buildings, institutional locations, and government facilities. It is completely mechanical with a heavy-duty, US steel-case mortice lock.
''Thousands of possible code combinations virtually eliminate guessing, and the access code is easily changed without removing the lock from the door. With the flexibility of three operation modes, lockout passage, and combination, the 8100 Series is the ideal choice for a high-security pushbutton lock.''
Ilco Unican, part of the Unican Group, is represented in the region by the Sharjah-based Silca Unican Gulf.
