The international non-profit National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) will hold its World Fire Safety Congress & Expo (formerly known as the NFPA Annual Meeting) at the Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, California, US from May 13 to 17.
More than 100 educational sessions and the largest fire protection and life safety trade show in North America are slated. In addition, dozens of documents are scheduled for NFPA's Technical Committee report sessions.
Continuing educational units (CEUs) will be awarded for most education sessions.
Three CEU-accredited pre-Congress seminars will be offered: Fire Department Occupational Health and Safety Program, NFPA 1500; Fire Pumps and Water-Based Fire Protection Systems, NFPA 20 and 25; and Certified Fire Protection Specialist Primer.
The exposition, to be held from May 14 to 16, will feature nearly 300 exhibitors offering products and services for all aspects of fire protection and life safety, including building materials, extinguishing equipment, and sprinkler systems. Three $1,000 cash prizes will be given away by random selection.
"We are pleased again to provide an excellent group of internationally-recognised speakers and important information that attendees need," says Cathy Phillips, NFPA's director of Conferences and Expositions.
"Our goal to make the World Fire Safety Congress and Exposition the premier event for the fire, electrical and life safety industry is being realised," she adds.
