Powerscreen of the UK has introduced a smaller version of its traditional heavy-duty mobile scalping and screening vibrating grizzly, the Powergrid.
"The new arrival in the growing Powergrid family is the smallest mobile screening unit, the Powergrid 600," says a company spokesman. "Despite its diminutive size, the Powergrid 600 is ruggedly constructed to process a range of materials. The 600 incorporates a vibrating grizzly screenbox that is also angle adjustable.
''The two-deck vibrating grizzly can be fed by loading shovel or excavator and the underside 1,200-mm-wide conveyor belt is capable of handling high tonnages."
There are three fully-mobile models in the new series:
The Powertrack/Powergrid 600 range is available with electric or diesel drive power units.
"The Powergrid 600 series offers all the usual Powerscreen set-up features and, once on site, can be in full working mode in under five minutes," the spokesman says.
"The Powertrack/Powergrid 600 will find uses in the Gulf and Middle East in screening typical road base and road fill material for the road building and contracting industry. It will also find use in preparing crusher feed in the quarry industry, the removal of fine material from Gabion stone as well as being suitable for the preparation of bedding and cover material for the pipeline industry," he says.
"Worldwide sales are already significant with particular emphasis on the recycling and construction and demolition waste industry," he adds.
