A UAE manufacturer of specialty tapes and adhesives used in insulation applications is boosting its product range as it seeks to further expand into the region's markets.
Anchor Allied Factory plans to launch a new unit for the manufacture of double and single-faced foam tape which can be used by the air-conditioning, automotive and advertising (graphic designs and signboards) industry.
The company is also developing enhanced products for insulation needs, says a spokesman of the Sharjah-based company.
"Specialty tapes are used in the HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning) industry for air-conditioning and ducting applications and their demand is growing every year in the Middle East," he says. "We are a leading manufacturer of speciality tapes and we currently export to 42 countries around the world."
He continues: "Our aluminium foil tape has varied applications in air-conditioning as well as general industries and we are developing a new-age adhesive for this tape which will work extremely well in temperature extremes.
"PE (polyethylene) cloth duct tape is used for ducting repairs, duct-marking, pipe-laying and other heavy packaging applications and Anchor is increasing its production of this tape to cope with surging demand. We are also introducing a new acrylic sealant for duct-sealing applications which has anti-mould properties."
Anchor, he adds, is now looking for new distributors in the Middle East in an effort to boost its market presence throughout the region.
