Incoveca Granitos is set to expand its capacity and product portfolio as it continues to clinch major projects worldwide.

Incoveca Granitos of Portugal currently enjoys a sound reputation in the international market, having supplied its granite and other stone products to landmark projects in the Middle East, Europe and North America, among many other countries.
The company says it is ranked among the five major dimensional stone suppliers in south-west Europe and has supplied cut-to-size Portuguese White granite for the Saudi Arabia's tallest tower - the Kingdom Centre in Riyadh, besides other projects.
Incoveca Granitos attributes its success to the continuous efforts made in technological development of both its quarries and processing plants, in terms of utilising the latest drilling techniques and sophisticated machinery. The company also uses professional management skills and advanced equipment, and maintains strict quality control, right from selecting the raw blocks in the quarries, during the processing phase and finally in post-sales service.
This industrial group quarries more than 20,000 cu m of stone and currently processes 1,655,000 sq m of high-quality products in its plants located in central Portugal.
Incoveca Granitos is now set to boost its production capacities further with the opening of a new processing plant in August within its Tondela industrial facilities. This 10,000 sq m plant will be dedicated to processing limestone, travertino and marble. This new plant will considerably expand the range of natural stones it offers, while enhancing its performance in this specific product area and boosting its cutting capacity by an additional 35,000 sq m per month, says a spokesman for the company.
To increase international awareness of its quality and services, the company participates in almost every important exhibition and trade fair that specialises in dimensional stones all over the world.
Besides the Kingdom Centre in Riyadh, Incoveca Granitos' other striking projects include the Royal Victoria Square, Holborn Place and Canary Wharf hotel in the UK; the Central Bank in Dublin, Ireland; Deutsche Bank, Stuttgart Airport and Mannesman Dusseldorf offices in Germany; the underground stations in Helsinki, Finland; the Mercedes Centre in Brussels, Belgium; the Islamic Centre in Lisbon, Portugal and many others.
''All these projects are testimony to the competitiveness of our group in this kind of highly-skilled work involving all kind of granites and other stones,'' says the spokesman. ''Incoveca holds a competitive edge because of its experience combined with sustained inhouse technical development and its efforts at meeting each requirement of the market,'' he adds.
