Athlon sheets get more decorative

Trespa International has extended its range of Athlon High Pressure Laminate (HPL) compact sheets for interior applications.

The range has been extended to provide architects, designers and installers with a choice of decorations to help create an interior that is both highly individual and exceptionally functional, says the Dutch firm.

The new extended Athlon decorative range is categorised according to the specific atmospheres or moods it is able to create, used in stand-alone applications or in combination with other materials.

Trespa International, which specialises in the manufacture of high-quality panels for exterior and interior use, says Athlon is available in a choice of warm tints, industrial tones, bright eyecatchers, soft shades and cool colours. Athlon is also sold in different sizes and thicknesses to suit virtually any application and any interior.

Athlon HPL is well established in the marketplace and is a firm favourite of specifiers from all over the world, says the company.

Athlon project manager Jšrg Kaufung, attributes the success of the product to its inherent properties. "Athlon delivers an unrivalled performance and is setting the standard for a wide range of interior applications. It has excellent scratch, wear, impact, moisture and heat resistance," he says.

"In terms of functionality it has long been recognised as an excellent product. By adding an aesthetic dimension to this highly versatile product, we are enabling architects and designers to create a unique surface solution to blend customer needs and interior image.

"The new range of decorations is broad enough to meet the expectations of designers, and sufficiently exciting to ensure that no two interiors ever need to look the same. Unless, of course, you want them to."

Trespa Athlon is a flat panel based on thermosetting resins, homogenously reinforced with cellulose fibres and manufactured under high pressure and temperature.

The panels have an integrated decorative surface and excellent properties - making it ideal for use over a prolonged period.

Athlon is available in two different surface structures: quartz, with a fluid irregular texture, and crystal matt, a very fine structure with a matt sheen - and in two different grades: standard and fire retardant. The product complies with building and safety regulations in most countries.
