Kuwait Insulating Material Manufacturing Company (Kimmco), an affiliate of Alghanim Industries, is a Middle East market leader in thermal and acoustical insulation products.

With a glasswool plant in Kuwait and a rockwool plant in Hyderabad, India, Kimmco has a combined manufacturing capacity of 27,000 tonnes per year.

Kimmco has been manufacturing and selling insulation products for more than 20 years and the company continues to expand.

The company is a licensee of Saint-Gobain Isover, the world leader in insulation manufacturing, and is ISO 9002 certified.

Kimmco, through its most advanced equipment, manufactures and supplies premium quality insulation products. These products are used for floors, walls, roofs, air-conditioning and piping of any type of private and commercial building such as apartments, villas, offices, theatres, hospitals, schools, airports, cold stores and freezers, heating and cooling air-conditioning systems, transport vehicles and process and petrochemical industries.

"Kimmco products comply with international standards such as ASTM, DIN, BS and ISO and are also certified and listed by Underwriters Laboratories, says a company spokesman. "Kimmco can adhere to all specifications and requirements of insulation projects in any country,

"Its products play a vital role in saving energy. Therefore, the company is also involved in energy conservation programmes with various government bodies in the GCC."

In addition, as an Saint-Gobain Isover licensee, Kimmco is deeply involved in environment protection and as such its products are environmental friendly, the spokesman points out.

Since 1977, Kimmco products have been marketed throughout the GCC, Near and Far East countries through a network of 200 distributors. Kimmco has also its own offices in each GCC country, Sri Lanka and all over India.

The company has highly-qualified and experienced technical personnel who assist insulation consultants and contractors in solving the most difficult thermal and acoustical problems, the spokesman says.
