Aggreko Middle East, the regional office of the UK-based Aggreko, has been offering a wide range of services that have provided temporary power solutions to business establishments and industries in the region for more than a decade now.
Aggreko, which started its Middle East operations at its Sharjah office in 1991, has flourished over the years to become a regional leader in the supply of power generation and temperature control services.
Today, the regional headquarters of Aggreko in Jebel Ali, Dubai, closely co-ordinates the operations of the company in six countries through a network of nine permanent locations, and offers 24-hour availability and service support to clients.
In addition, the company's dedicated business unit, Aggreko International Power Projects (AIPP), serves the specialist needs of multi-megawatt temporary power projects. Aggreko Middle East is an ISO 9001 certified company.
Listing out the services offered by Aggreko, a spokesman for the company says: 'Our fleet of power generation equipment includes a full range of diesel generators, transformers, loadbanks and ancillary equipment to provide complete, flexible and reliable power systems for all construction needs.
'In addition, we supply air-conditioning equipment for major commercial, retail or industrial installations and fluid chillers and cooling towers to supplement existing cooling capacity, or for use during maintenance of the existing air conditioning plants. Chilled water is also being supplied for concrete cooling, an area of concern especially during summer.
'Aggreko also offers a range of temperature control equipment specially designed to overcome the problems of air-conditioning faced by most industries in the hot and humid summers of the region, on a rental basis.
''Our industrial air-conditioning units can be used to maintain temperatures and provide a comfortable working environment. Additionally Aggreko rental equipment allows customers to undertake period maintenance of the existing plant without disruption to ongoing operations.''
Aggreko diesel generators are designed and manufactured at its own ISO 9001 accredited manufacturing facility in the UK, he says. ''We can supply generators from 15 kVA to 2,000 kVA in single units. For larger power demands, generators can be connected in parallel to create multi-megawatt power packages,' he says.
Apart from the construction sector, Aggreko also caters to a diverse range of markets.
''In remote locations Aggreko provides reliable power for mining or oilfield operations. In countries stricken by hydro-electricity shortages, Aggreko provides base-load power for major cities,'' the spokesman says.
