Belle adds new roller to product line

01 April 2005

The UK-based Belle Group has added a pair of rugged, walk-behind double-drum rollers to its comprehensive range of compaction equipment.

The BWR650 and BWR750 models are the result of an exclusive partnership between Belle and a leading Japanese manufacturer, which already supplies Belle with its four-stroke rammers, says a spokesman.
Weighing 675 kg and 730 kg respectively, the two fully hydrostatic rollers are powered by the same 4 kW Kubota diesel engine (with electric start in the case of the BWR650) and provide a centrifugal force of 1.100 kN for excellent compaction results on both soil and asphalt, he says.
Elaborating on the features of the machines, he says: “Both machines are just 700 mm wide to enable them to be used successfully even in restricted areas and feature progressive control of speed and forward/reverse motion for all-important smooth operation.
“Other features of these new rollers include a dead man safety handle, one-point lifting, a non-corrosion sprinkler system, strong protective frame and easy access for routine maintenance.”
Since the 1950s, Belle has been developing and manufacturing tough, durable construction equipment for the ‘do it yourself’ (DIY) and professional builder, making it the first choice for utilities, local authorities, construction companies and plant hire businesses.
The Belle group provides a wide range of premium-quality building equipment for the professional, rental and DIY user that includes:
• Concrete equipment: concrete mixers, concrete vibrating screeds, power trowels;
• Compaction equipment: plate compactors forward and reverse, drum rollers and rammers;
• Saws: bench and floor saws, tile saws diamond products; and
• Hydraulic-powered equipment.
