Papandrea, a premier Italian kitchen and wardrobes manufacturer, will be offering its exclusive range of walnut and cherry wood products to individual customers across the UAE through Homewide’s specialty Destination Store by the end of this year, says Stefano Ferretti, managing director of Homewide, which is Papandrea’s GCC-wide agent.
“This is an upmarket product suitable for luxury villas, resorts and high-end residential projects. However, we are offering it to individual customers as well, initially throughout the UAE and then across the Gulf region,” Ferretti says.
Papandrea – founded in 1987 by two brothers Domenico and Vincenzo Papandrea in the southern Italian region of Calabria – is a market leader in its segment of solid wood traditional and hand-finished kitchens, wardrobes and accessories. What started as a small-scale business rapidly grew into a major operation with production facilities covering 200,000 sq ft and an extensive and reputed distribution network throughout Europe and other parts of the world. The outward-focused company today has a fair share of the various export markets.
Papandrea boasts a 200-strong workforce of skilled engineers, craftsmen, labourers and engineers and production facilities that use state-of-the-art Italian manufacturing know-how to produce the highest quality of products. The company has recently undergone an expansion that has given the company an additional 100,000 sq ft of work space.
“Papandrea kitchens are created of solid wood using excellent craftmanship and are extremely detailed in specifications. They are made like how traditional kitchens used to be built but they have that something extra: the functionality of the modern-day kitchens,” says Ferretti emphatically.
“Walnut, cherry wood and detailed finishes are some of the hallmarks of a Papandrea kitchen. Add to these design and total functionality and you get a perfect kitchen which fulfills the needs and dreams of today’s discerning buyer,” Ferretti concludes.
