Hansgrohe unveils new Axor showers

German shower specialist Hansgrohe aims to unveil what it describes as “haute couture for the shower” at the Milan Furniture Fair in Italy this month (April 16 to 21).

The Axor Starck Shower Collection, as it is called, has been created by talented French designer Philippe Starck and forms an intrinsic part of Hansgrohe's high-end Axor brand.
The exclusive Axor Starck Shower collection can turn a shower into a private spa, where the controlled flow of water can create a relaxing bathing experience and rejuvenate the spirit and body, says Hansgrohe. To achieve this objective, the shower collection relies on a completely modular system that provides total freedom in terms of interior designing of contemporary bathroom.
"The time simply has come to talk about showers and the Axor Starck Shower Collection is something completely different," says designer Philippe Starck, who has had over 16 years of successful collaboration with the Axor brand.
"The collection consists of a complete programme and an actual design system – similar to a mosaic or a puzzle made up of a whole lot of small, square-shaped objects – that can be combined to form an infinite range of totally flexible solutions. This is what we call haute couture for the shower," he explains.
The new shower collection will be introduced to the public by Philippe Grohe – grandson of the company's founder Hans Grohe and head of the Axor brand – and Starck on the first day of the show.
Axor products have over the years earned repute for being the ultimate in design and quality for exclusive bathrooms.
