Set to complete by mid-2010, the Dh6.2 billion M Station power package is a combined-cycle cogeneration power plant comprising six Siemens V94.3 A gas turbines, six Doosan HRSGs (heat recovery steam generators) and three Alstom steam turbines and will generate 2,000 MW of gross output.
The second contract is for a desalination package. Set for completion in June 2010, the project will comprise eight desalination units with an output of 17.5 mgd (million gallons per day) per unit and four boilers with a total output of 140 mgd.
The third contract is for the construction of a DFO pipeline from Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZ) to Aweer Power Station. The Dh155 million project will involve the laying of a 20-inch DFO pipeline.
The fourth project will involve the construction of a three-phase reservoir at Mushrif with a total storage capacity of 180 million gallons. The Dh620 million contract is set for completion by April next year.
