HAVING recorded an unprecedented success both in exhibitor and visitor numbers, this year's Cevisama came to a close with the organiser announcing next year's show dates.
The 27th edition of Cevisama – the exhibition of art, architecture, design, technology held at Valencia, Spain, each year – is set to take place from February 10 to 14, 2009.
"This year's event was unprecedented in terms of the quality of the trade visitors attending, with final figures revealing a rise of over 50 per cent in the number of visiting specifiers that included architects, architectural technicians, interior designers and industrial designers," says a spokesman for the organiser.
"One of the exhibition's strategies was to target tightly qualified audiences who have the ability to influence purchasing decisions and set trends. Cevisama's endeavours to achieve this objective, as the results clearly indicate, have been extremely well received amongst those who fit the target profile," he adds.
He continues: “Over 75 per cent of foreign visitors came from Europe. The event also recorded a nine per cent increase in foreign buyers, with 13,869 arriving from 145 different countries. There was also a 14 per cent increase in the number of foreign companies visiting the event.”
