German shower specialist Hansgrohe aims to unveil what it describes as “haute couture for the shower” at the Milan Furniture Fair in Italy this month (April 16 to 21). The Axor Starck Shower Collection, as it is called, has been created by talented French designer Philippe Starck and forms an intrinsic part of Hansgrohe's high-end Axor brand.






LIQUID Plastics will arrive at Project Qatar later this month to launch its new campaign on the advantages of cold-applied waterproofing systems. Project Qatar, the fifth international trade exhibition for construction technology, building materials, equipment and environmental technology in Qatar, will be held from April 7 to 10.






HAVING recorded an unprecedented success both in exhibitor and visitor numbers, this year's Cevisama came to a close with the organiser announcing next year's show dates. The 27th edition of Cevisama – the exhibition of art, architecture, design, technology held at Valencia, Spain, each year – is set to take place from February 10 to 14, 2009.






DUBAI Water and Electricity Authority (DEWA) has, at last month's Wetex 2008, signed Dh12 billion ($3.26 billion) worth of contracts for six mega projects with major national and international companies for the production of electricity, water desalination and reservoirs, main substations, and DFO (diesel fuel oil) pipeline.






The eighth World Congress of the Council on Tall Buildings & Urban Habitat (CBTUH) closed on a successful note last month with 965 participants representing 44 countries and 92 speakers presenting papers on a variety of topics related to the congress theme ‘Tall and Green: Typology for a Sustainable Urban Future.
