Dubai’S Nakheel broke ground on two new hotels in Dubai last month: The Avani hotel at Ibn Battuta Mall, with a total project value of Dh240 million ($65.3 million) and the Premier Inn Dragon City.






Aldar Properties’ seven key projects are making steady progress, as Yas Island’s Ansam and Al Raha Beach’s Al Hadeel enter into the final stages of development ahead of handover in September. Ansam, located on the west side of Yas Island, is nearing completion with facade glazing and internal fit-out, ahead of handover this year.






Aldar Properties has launched The Bridges, a 1,272-unit  mid-market residential development to be built at a cost of Dh1.3 billion ($354 million) on Reem Island in the UAE capital. The Bridges’ two plots, each containing three towers with 636 homes, are separated by the new 2.4-km canal that runs through Reem Island.






Imkan to build creative hub Imkan is to build a new hub in Abu Dhabi where creative people can live and work. The waterfront Makers District will feature residential, hospitality, commercial and retail space over an area of 180,000 sq m on Reem Island.

Emaar Properties said The Tower at Dubai Creek Harbour is all set to rise with the  successful completion of the pile foundations for the 928-m-high skyscraper. The 6-sq-km Dubai Creek Harbour sits by the Dubai Creek, overlooking the Downtown Dubai skyline and is near the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary.






Nakheel has opened a waterfront retail pavilion at its new Dh450-million ($122.52 million) Jumeriah Islands Townhouses community in Dubai, bringing 14 shops, restaurants and cafes to the neighbourhood.
