Expo 2020 Countdown

The Expo 2020 Dubai authorities have achieved a major construction milestone in the run-up to the mega global event with the final piece of Al Wasl dome having been lifted into place after an intricate and complex building operation following months of planning.

New export markets and projects being launched ahead of Expo 2020 are energising economic activity in Dubai, particularly in the trading and construction sectors, and businesses are confident of improved outcomes in the months ahead. The quarterly survey of Dubai Economy shows Composite Business Confidence Index (BCI) in the emirate improving 2.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has opened Phase Three and Phase Four of roads leading to the Expo 2020 project, including bridges and roads extending 5 km and 17 km respectively, at a cost of Dh1.3 billion ($353 million).

Belgium has broken ground on its ark-inspired country pavilion for the upcoming Expo 2020 event in Dubai. Located in the heart of Mobility District, Belgium’s country pavilion will draw on renewable resources to feed its energy needs.
