Roshn, Saudi Arabia’s national developer fully owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), has announced the launch of its second community development, Al Arous, in northern Jeddah.






Saudi-based Jeddah Central Development Company (JCDC) has awarded the development works contract for Phase One of its mega SR75-billion ($20 billion) Jeddah Central (formerly New Jeddah Downtown) project, to Modern Building Leaders (MBL).






Amaala, the ultra-luxury development coming up along Saudi Arabia’s north-western coast, has revealed the iconic design for its Triple Bay Yacht Club, inspired by local eroded rock features and traditional air movement architecture. The club features a terrace restaurant, infinity pool deck and rooftop cabana lounge.






SNC-Lavalin, a global construction and project management group, said it has been awarded a four-year project management office (PMO) and engineering design review services contract by the Saudi Electric Company and The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Corporation to support the Saudi-Egypt power grids interconnection project.






Bauer Foundation Contractors, a leading foundation engineering specialist, said it has completed a key piling contract awarded by marine contracting specialist  Archirodon for the iconic bridge to Shurayrah Island along with two smaller bridges for The Red Sea Project.






The Red Sea Development Company (TRSDC), the developer behind the world’s most ambitious regenerative tourism project, said it has signed up Mammoet, a global leader in engineered heavy lifting and transport, for work at Sheybarah Island Resort, a key part of The Red Sea Project.






Demag, one of the world’s leading suppliers of industrial cranes, has snapped up its biggest order in 15 years with the closing of the deal with Saudi-based Expertise Contracting Company for delivery of 79 Demag AC cranes.






Saudi-based Misk Schools has announced that work is nearing completion on its new campus in the Non-Profit City of Prince Mohammed Bin Salman in Riyadh. The 210,0000-sq-m property, which comprises nine school buildings for male and female students aged three to 18 years, will be opening its doors in time for the new academic year this September.






Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) reaffirmed at the recent Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai that its premier dining destination Bujairi Terrace will open later this year.






American electric vehicle manufacturer Lucid Group recently hosted a ceremonial signing event setting the stage for the construction of its AMP-2, a world-class production factory in Saudi Arabia. Construction of the plant is likely to commence shortly, and at its peak, Lucid expects to manufacture up to 155,000 vehicles per year at the facility.
