Act Decor, one of the UAE's leading interior designers, has successfully completed a major furniture and accessories contract for The Fairmont Dubai.







The Fairmont Dubai was built with the best of materials to the highest standards, says Dubai Contracting Company (DCC). "The specifications called for the highest standards of finishes and services and all products used in this prestigious project are expensive and rich," says DCC deputy managing director Abdullah Yabroudi.






Rich, textured crystallised glass cladding has been used extensively on The Fairmont Dubai's interiors to accentuate the elegance and sophistication of the property. The cladding material called Neoparies is manufactured by Nippon Electric Glass (NEG) of Japan and was supplied to the project by the Dubai-based Trade Engineering.






Elegant contemporary themes dominate The Fairmont Dubai, says Decorpoint, the interior designers for the hotel part of the property. The Italy and Dubai-based firm, which started work on the project in December 1999, played a key role in the hotel redesign.






Emirates Kitchen Equipment (EKE) of the UAE was involved in the design, fabrication, supply and installation of kitchen, food service equipment and cold rooms at The Fairmont Dubai. The Abu Dhabi-based firm, which is part of the Bin Jabr Group Limited, started work on its Dh13.5 million ($3.






Glass and water themes have been used to create two impressive interior features of The Fairmont Dubai. The features - a glass 'river of light' and a massive water feature in the entrance lobby - were executed by The Glasshouse, a local glass specialist.






Leader Furniture supplied and installed doors and wardrobes for all the rooms and offices at The Fairmont Dubai. The Dubai-based Leader Furniture - which is a part of Juma Al Majid Group of companies - is one of the UAE's leading interior contract furnishers.






The Fairmont Dubai, which soars 35 storeys high on Dubai's prestigious Sheikh Zayed Road, is on schedule for an early 2002 opening. With construction complete, fitting out of the interior is being finalised for a grand opening of the hotel in February next year.






Al Abbar, one of the leading aluminium and glass cladding specialists in the Middle East, supplied and installed 25,000 sq m of four-sided structural glazing to the envelope of The Fairmont Dubai.






Sultan Bin Rashid (Sultaco), a veteran UAE trader, supplied quality Ideal Standard sanitary ware to The Fairmont Dubai project. Sultaco, which is based in Abu Dhabi, has branches in Dubai, Sharjah and Al Ain catering to the requirements of its clients all over the emirates.






Techno Lift of the UAE supplied a variety of hi-tech Schindler lifts for The Fairmont Dubai, including panoramic ones offering sweeping views of its majestic atrium. The project was a demanding one that Techno Lift considered a great honour to be associated with, says a spokesman for the Dubai-based company.






Trans-Gulf Electro-Mechanical of the UAE installed all the MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) services at The Fairmont Dubai.






The consultants of the new Fairmont hotel evaluated their choices carefully before awarding Technical Supplies and Services Company (TSSC) to supply and fit out the new Multi-Menu Restaurant.






Turner International, the project managers for the landmark The Fairmont Dubai tower, has handed over a substantially-completed Dh800 million ($213 million) building to the client on November 20.
