Construction in Kuwait is on the way up, literally. After years of a lull in the construction sector, the country is witnessing the construction of a number of high-rises. UNDER a $10.14 million contract Burhan is working on Phase I of the Police Officers Club in Abu Al Hasaniya. The client is the Ministry of Interior Affairs while the design consultant is OHA. The project is to be carried out in two phases. Burhan started work on Phase I in September last year and expects to complete it next March.

August 1999 - $25.95 million contract for the infrastructure and services to the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) campus. Work on the project started in the same month and is due for completion this month. January 2000 - $14.






Recafco busy Real Estate Construction & Fabrication Company (Recafco), a leading Kuwaiti contracting firm, is currently engaged on two projects worth KD14.52 million ($48.72 million) for the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET).






Work is under way on what is expected to be the tallest tower in Kuwait City when completed in early 2003. Standing about 130 m high, the Arraya complex will include a shopping centre, a 310-room hotel and an office area within a 34-storey tower, a convention centre, a plaza area and a multi-storey car-park.
