DTCM aims to boost health tourism

Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commercial Marketing (DTCM) has held talks with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) to discuss ways of promoting the health tourism through overseas exhibitions, workshops and seminars.

DTCM was represented by Eyad Ali Abdulrahman, executive director, Media Relations and Business Development Sector and member of the marketing team committee for health tourism, who discussed the future plans to develop and promote medical tourism initiative for Dubai.

The meeting was attended by Jerad Bachar, director, Dubai Convention & Events Bureau, Abdullah Bin Suwaidan, deputy director, Overseas Promotions and Inward Missions and Ameera Jokhadar, head of Industry Relations Business Development.

Dr El Daw Abdalla Suliman, head of Research and Performance Management Section attended along with the marketing team from the Dubai Health Authority as well as Dr Fatma Alsharaf and Suhaila Khalil, senior executives, Operations and Partner Development from Dubai Healthcare City.

During the meeting, DTCM discussed several topics on how to promote Health Tourism through participating in overseas exhibitions during 2013, to boost medical tourism in cooperation with the DHCA and the private healthcare sector. – TradeArabia News Service
