Maritime innovations take centre stage at Abu Dhabi boat show

The Abu Dhabi International Boat Show 2024, being held from November 21-24, is showcasing the latest in maritime innovation, sustainability, and cutting-edge technologies. This year’s edition features 175 boats, highlighting the diversity of the maritime industry.
Being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region, the exhibition included a mix of renowned local and international brands such as Sunreef Venture S.A., Tureddi Yachts, Dubai Power Boats, and JLS Yachts, creating a platform for boating enthusiasts to discover the latest in boat design and performance.
One of the most popular highlights was the opportunity for visitors to take test drives, offering them the chance to experience firsthand the performance of different models on the water. This interactive feature allowed guests to engage directly with the latest in maritime technology.
The show presented the breathtaking Call of the Ocean Parade, an innovative display blending artistic storytelling, lighting techniques, and immersive technology.
Participants had the opportunity to explore the state-of-the-art Jaywun vessel, presented by the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi. This pioneering research vessel is equipped with six advanced laboratories and a remotely operated submarine vehicle, offering an exciting glimpse into the future of marine research and conservation.
The Knowledge Box provided a platform for thought-provoking talks and sessions, featuring industry leaders discussing the latest in maritime innovation.
The Abu Dhabi Maritime Academy presented groundbreaking inventions and educational initiatives, while the AD Ports Group introduced its Junior Captain Programme, aimed at nurturing the next generation of maritime leaders.
Abu Dhabi Maritime also conducted a Watersport Marine Craft Awareness session to promote safety and sustainability within the industry.
Day one (November 21) featured a dazzling fireworks display over the ADNEC Marina, offering a spectacular finale to the opening day’s events.
