Schindler branches out with two offices

Schindler has established its own branches in the emirates of Dubai and Abu Dhabi to sell, install and service the company’s elevators and escalators in these fast-growing markets.
The company has been present in the two emirates for many years through local firms, which sold, installed and maintained Schindler products.
Now Schindler has started selling and installing its own products in the region through its own branches and as of January 1, 2009, Schindler’s UAE branches has taken over the servicing of Schindler installations from the local firms. The local firms will continue to carry out all installations sold prior to the opening of the new Schindler branches, with support from Schindler.
“The increasing significance of the markets in the UAE was the driver for Schindler to establish its own presence in this territory,” said Schindler’s managing director in the UAE, Heiner Lüpertz.
The new branch offices complement Schindler Group’s strategy, which is to expand continually its global reach and network density so as to better serve its customers.
