Dubai’s soaring office rental rates are putting a premium on office design, with many organisations finding that customisation is no longer a luxury but a necessity, according Ofis, a leading supplier of office furniture.
According to some estimates, Dubai’s commercial rental property rates have risen more than 30 per cent over the last 18 months, making the emirate costlier than New York City, the company says.
“People need to optimise the space they have in the workplace now more than ever before, or risk spending increasing amounts for unneeded office space simply to accommodate bulky, immovable office furniture,” said Ajai Dayal, general manager – retail and marketing.
“Office furniture should make room for professionals’ varying requirements, whether its storage or functionality, while still providing a stylish look, and that means introducing customisation,” continues Dayal.
Dayal, whose group recommends Scharf products from Samas, adds that a customised office furniture range promises users simple adaptability and space to think.
Scharf’s Intention range is designed to provide the space and functionality required while remaining unobtrusive and stylish.
“Form enables multi-function with reconfigurable pieces that have versatile features – a mobile wall unit with a magnetic white-board surface doubles as a notice board. The functional aesthetic also provides integrated solutions for connectivity,” said Dayal.
“It is like having three offices in one,” said Pauly Jos, Ofis’ furniture sales manager. “The Intention range allows you to quickly and easily change an open-place office into a conference room or add more user space.”
Ofis supplies major international brands including Aresline, Ergo, Interface, Benel, DVO, Dauphin, Samas, Parador, Zuco, and Bosse.
