Alarabi Decoration of Saudi Arabia has broken into the Kuwaiti market by winning a contract on a prestigious project in the emirate.
''Over the past decade, Alarabi has been very active in Saudi Arabia, Europe, Africa and Northern Asia. But although we have executed projects in the Gulf region, we have never been involved in any project in Kuwait, says Renato Zimmerman, general manager of the Jeddah-based interior decoration specialist. ''Therefore we are delighted to have the opportunity to stamp our presence on a prestigious project in the emirate, in association with Al Ahmadiah Contracting Company, a major local firm.''
He continues: ''We are now closely co-operating with architect Helene Sioufi, a renowned professional who is the interior designer on the project, and we hope this venture will bring us other interesting opportunities, particularly in the private sector.''
''With our large experience in the field of decoration and special finishing works, we could not neglect such an important market and we are confident that our initial move to Kuwait will be highly challenging and gratifying,'' Zimmerman adds.
Alarabi has successfully completed several major projects in Saudi Arabia, such as royal palaces, the newly-inaugurated King Fahd International Airport in Dammam and the Lailaty Ballroom in Jeddah. Important overseas projects include the Casino du Liban in Lebanon, hotels in Italy and Ethiopia, the Presidential Palace and Parliament Hall in Kazahkstan, as well as several mosques and private villas.
Alarabi has also been operating in Egypt over the past two years.
