AS MANY as 700 exhibitors and 80,000 visitors are expected to take part in Deubau 2010, a construction fair which will be held from January 12 to 16 in Essen, Germany.
Despite the global gloom, the 2010 edition is expected to be the same size as the 2009 event, according to the organiser Messe Essen.
However, as some companies have requested for smaller areas due to the current economic downturn, the organiser is now redesigning the layout to incorpate Hall 7, instead of Hall 3, into the floor plan.
Deubau will be spread across 12 fair halls, where exhibitors will present their solutions relating to all aspects of structural and civil engineering.
Isam 2009 date in Dubai
The International Symposium on Architectural Membranes (Isam) 2009 will be held this month in Dubai, UAE, following the success of the inaugural edition which was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as well as Dubai, in October last year.
Isam 2009 will be held on October 14 and 15 at the American University in Dubai (AUD). Organised by the Jordan-based Verseidag Indutex, the objectives of Isam 2009 are to provide information on fundamental properties and present the state-of-the-art in textile roof and inflatable structures.
The workshop will address both the theoretical bases for structural analysis necessary for efficient and robust computer implementation. A significant part of the workshop will be devoted to discussing advances in new textile composites for applications in membrane structures, as well as innovative design, construction and maintenance procedures.
