SUSTAINABLE American hardwoods will take the centre stage at IFI 2009 to be staged in Dubai, UAE.

To be held from  November 6 to 11 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, the 24th general assembly of the International Federation of Interior Designers & Architects (IFI) and the World Interior Design Congress 2009 will bring together interior designers and architects from across the globe.
The American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC), the leading international trade association for the American hardwood industry, will be the gold sponsor at the event.
IFI 2009 will discuss issues regarding social responsibility, the business of interior designers, the influence of technology on design, the role of tradition and culture, sustainability and interior design within academia.
Leading organisations and research firms will also participate, sharing their insights into new business opportunities throughout the Middle East and Africa.
The event will be an opportunity for networking and exchange of knowledge in a global context.
