Forum aims to help manage water resources

01 April 2010

WATERTECH 2010, a regional event to address the region’s key water-related issues, will take place next month (May 9 to 12) at the Beach Rotana hotel in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The event will address key water resource and water demand management issues in the Middle East, including an in-depth look at wastewater treatment and reuse, a key priority for regional governments. Water authorities, municipalities, regulators and other industry professionals from across the region will gather along with ministry representatives to form a coordinated, sustainable approach to water and wastewater management. It is estimated that the region will invest up to $200 billion in infrastructure and water and wastewater treatment until 2025.
Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies will be featuring its world-leading treatment solutions at the event, which will be its second partnership for the series. Also providing expertise will be Kharafi National, UtilEco, Abu Dhabi Pipe Factory, Netherlands Water Partnership, and Schlumberger Water Services, while the European Desalination Society will also support the event.
