Wetex a big sucesss
THE 12th Water Technology, Energy and Environment Exhibition 2010 (Wetex), Dubai, has registered a huge success with 60 per cent of space already booked for the next year’s show.
Sixty-two per cent of the participating companies said they had obtained leads that would be translated into contracts during this year. The three-day show held last month explored new technologies and solutions aimed at the development of the region’s power and water industries.
The organiser, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa), revealed that a large number of sponsors and co-sponsors have confirmed their support for next year’s edition.
Sustainable buildings in focus
SUSTAINABLE buildings will be the top theme at Bau 2011, a leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems.
The event that will take place at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre in Munich, Germany between January 17 and 22 , 2011, will focus on the sustainable design, planning and management of buildings.
“The umbrella term of sustainability now covers themes such as careful use of resources and cost-efficiency, but also health and social aspects,” said Bau exhibition director, Markus Geisenberger.
The fair will highlight the contribution being made by the suppliers – the manufacturers of building materials, technology and systems – to sustainability.
The fully booked fair will feature almost 1,900 companies who will offer solutions in the areas of innovative materials, intelligent building technology or specific management models for cooperation with building firms and real-estate experts. The successful entries to the competition ‘Solar Decathlon Europe 2010’ will also be showcased at Bau.
