JEC gathers 1,200 exhibitors

JEC Europe 2012, a platform for composites industry players, brought together close to 1,200 exhibitors from 100 countries on a record exhibition space of 50,000 sq m. Held from March 27 to 29 in Paris, France, the event was five times bigger than any other composites exhibition in the world.

JEC Europe, which highlighted automated production and research in sector-specific composite solutions, welcomed 32,256 visitors as against 29,867 in 2011. Organisers said one out of every two visitors sought solutions for aeronautical, marine, automotive, construction, infrastructure, energy or sports and leisure applications.

Expo to showcase office solutions

WORLD leaders in office design will showcase smart solutions for the modern workplace this month in at the Office Exhibition 2012.

The expo promises to reveal more than 140 new-to-region products and a wide array of award-winning designs at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), Dubai, UAE, from May 15 to 17.

Among the new exhibitors are Canadian heavyweights, Global Group and Allseating, leading designers of office furniture and seating solutions. They will be joined by British manufacturers Loft, JDD and Bisley. The show will also see participation from top UAE suppliers including Mobili Emirates Furniture, United Furniture and Ritmo Furniture with the “Doimo Office” range.

15,000 to attend hotel show

THE Hotel Show, the largest full spectrum hospitality supplies event for the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region, is set to deliver this month its most international event to date, with more than 45 countries participating.

More than 420 leading suppliers and consultants and 13 international pavilions are participating in this key regional industry event which will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC) from May 15 to 17. 

The show is expected to welcome more than 15,000 industry professionals from more than 93 countries to Dubai, UAE.

Paint expo hits record attendance

THE fourth PaintExpo achieved record growth, registering a 25 per cent increase in the number of exhibitors and visitors.

More than 410 exhibitors from 24 countries and 8,028 visitors took part in the international trade fair for industrial coating technology, which was held last month (April 17 to 20) in Karlsruhe, Germany.

The expo showcased products and solutions for wet painting, powder coating and coil coating on a net surface area of 10,406 sq m – an increase of 28.8 per cent over the previous event in 2010.
