POWER-GEN Asia, a premier conference and exhibition for the electric power generation industry, has announced the preliminary conference programme of its 20th annual gathering this year which will be hosted in Bangkok, Thailand, from October 3 to 5.
The programme includes more than 130 international experts presenting across six conference tracks, including topics focusing on strategic and technical power issues and challenges, as well as the growth of the renewable and alternative energy sectors.
Power-Gen Asia, co-located with Renewable Energy World Asia at the Impact Exhibition and Convention Centre, is expected to receive more than 7,000 professionals.
This keynote session on the first day of the event features high-profile speakers like Arak Chonlatanon, Thailand’s Minister of Energy, Sutat Patmasiriwat, governor of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (Egat), Thailand, and Kenji Uenishi, president of GE Energy, Asia Pacific, Singapore.
Conference director, Nigel Blackaby, said: “With many local and regional challenges facing the Asian power market, we will be addressing issues ranging from finance and planning to environmental protection, flexibility, fuels and grid technology.”
The event has received the support of the Ministry of Energy, Egat, Metropolitan Electricity Authority, Provincial Electricity Authority, PTT and many others.
