8,000 visitors attend Buildex

MORE than 85 exhibitors took part in the 15th Saudi International Building and Construction Exhibition (Buildex) held in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
The only building and construction material show in the Eastern Province, which was held last month (February 3 to 6) at the Dhahran International Exhibition Centre over 4,200 sq m of exhibition space, showcased the latest in building machinery and materials; construction tools; earthmoving equipment; indoor and outdoor lighting; security and safety systems; engineering services; marble, granite, ceramics; and tiling, finishes, coating and paints.
About 35 per cent of the exhibitors were making their debut at the event that hosted exhibitors from Germany, Greece, China, Kuwait, Italy, Bahrain, Malta and Saudi Arabia. More than 85 per cent of the 8,211 visitors who attended the exhibition were from the Eastern Province, with the rest from the Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh, Bahrain, Qatar and other countries from across the region including Lebanon, Egypt and Kuwait. Professional visitors included architects, consultants, contractors, interior designers, project managers and procurement managers.
