Al Shirawi Group​, a leading business conglomerate in the UAE, has signed an enterprise agreement with Oracle for its Aconex software, a platform for digital project delivery in construction and engineering projects.

The agreement is set to benefit the group’s businesses in engineering services, such as Al Shirawi Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Al Shirawi Contracting, and Al Shirawi Interiors. 

According to Madhukar Nath Chaturvedi, IT director of Al Shirawi Group, Aconex will be standardised for all future projects undertaken by group entities and will be used by more than nine project teams comprising about 250 employees in the initial phase.

“The Aconex solution will enable our teams to handle complex projects with aggressive schedules, allow for automation and standardisation of processes across the group and make communication and collaboration between teams more seamless. The Aconex Connected Cost module will also be implemented as part of the agreement for integrated cost management,” Chaturvedi says.

The initial projects set to be deployed on Aconex are the Silicon Park of Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority and Cityland Mall, for which Al Shirawi Interiors is executing the fit-out scope; and Tiara Towers and American School of Dubai – Middle School, for which the company is providing mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) services.
