Kleindienst’s resort cluster nears completion

01 September 2020

Leading developer Kleindienst Group says construction is in full swing on the Côte d’Azur, a cluster of four resorts coming up within Phase One of its $5-billion Heart of Europe project and is due for completion in the fourth quarter.

The sustainable leisure tourism destination in Dubai is located 4 km offshore Jumeirah coast on the Arabian Gulf. It comprises six islands, highly differentiated 15 hotels and resorts, 4,000 holiday homes, boutique hotel suites, in addition to the iconic Floating Seahorse Villas, white sandy beaches, lush landscapes, the word’s first climate-controlled rainy street and snow plaza as well as rare and authentic entertainment options in Maldives-like settings.

The overall construction on the Heart of Europe Island project is on fast track, defying the current industry trend of slowing down.

Côte d’Azur will add 893 keys and the facility will be ready for local, regional and international tourists in the fourth quarter.

According to Kleindienst, The Heart of Europe will add around 1,500 units in its Phase One development offering new attractions for visitors.

Being built on a plot of 43,442 sq m, Côte d’Azur comprises four boutique hotels – Monaco, Nice, Cannes and St Tropez – each named after the most famous and picturesque resort cities along the French Riviera and offering distinct European hospitality and culture in Dubai.

Following the completion of the elevations of Côte d’Azur, construction workers are now putting together walls, doors and windows to pave the way for the finishing, painting and interiors works. Facades are being painted in Monaco and Nice in vibrant colour schemes, a combination of various hues of red and green.

Contractors have also completed the topping out of St Tropez, the fourth hotel of the resort cluster.

Giving a construction update, Chairman Josef Kleindienst says: “The completion of the elevation works and topping out of the four hotels mark an important milestone in the development of the Heart of Europe Island and our strong commitment to deliver the project by the end of the year, despite the current economic slowdown caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.”

When complete, Côte d’Azur will offer 796 standard suites, four super deluxe suites, 61 suite rooms and 32 star suites. The five-star beachfront resort incorporates key features of the French Riviera’s most impressive architecture, design and lifestyle.

Kleindienst says the Côte d’Azur will host year-round European festivities. The resort will offer an exceptional array of indoor and outdoor facilities such as entertainment areas and games room (billiards, table tennis, bowling hall), fitness and gym facilities, spas, beach cabanas and six Mediterranean dining options in addition to diving and snorkelling facilities.
