Airolink breaks ground on Motor City Views

01 October 2021

Airolink has broken ground on the first phase of Union Properties’ AED2.2-billion ($598 million) Motor City developments comprising 880 residences in Dubai. The UAE-based firm has been signed up as the EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contractor for the project.

Valued at AED800 million, Motor City Views is the first of the proposed phased developments within the mega project coming up on a sprawling 35.3-million-sq-ft area offering a mix of residential, business, sports and leisure opportunities.

‘A city within a city’ the Motor City developments comprise six sectors with unique destinations – Avenue District, Dubai Autodrome, Union District Mall, OIA Residence, Uptown, Green Community MotorCity, and First Avenue Mall & Hotel – and will also be home to a total of 11,630 residential units.

Located in the heart of Motor City and overlooking its famous racetrack, the Motor City Views consists of three buildings each of seven storeys comprising commercial spaces for retail stores, restaurants, shopping centres and apartments.

The project, which boasts a built-up area of over 1 million sq ft,  features a mix of 313 studios, 427 one-, 133 two- and seven three-bedroom apartments.

Speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony held last month, Union Properties Chairman Khalifa Hassan Al Hammadi said: “The Motor City Views project is the true embodiment of the developer’s innovative concept, and Airolink is the right EPC partner to realise this vision.”

“As a consistent leading contractor in the industry, Airolink has a proven track record of handing over high-quality landmark projects, even during the peak of Covid-19 pandemic,” he stated in the presence of the management and representatives from both Union Properties and Airolink.

General Manager Abdullah Al Rustumani said the main objective of the Motorcity Views was to provide a distinct residential destination and a new urban landmark, offering a qualitative addition that enriches the urban development in Dubai through the construction of a diversified residential complex equipped with the latest integrated facilities.

On the contract win, Airolink Chairman and CEO Dr Anil Pillai said: “We are proud to associate with Union Properties to elevate the Motor City developments to even greater heights.”

The apartments are serviced by recreational areas designated for residents, such as air-conditioned sports halls, covered children’s playgrounds, and swimming pools of different sizes for all age groups.

The buildings include a retail area with diverse shops, restaurants, and various recreational activities to meet the residential community’s needs.

An integrated community project, Motor City Views, is located close to Studio City, Sports City and Arabian Ranches, and a short drive from Maktoum International Airport and the Expo 2020 site.
