Hyster recently upgraded its A1.00-1.50XL rear-wheel-drive lift truck series to bring it into line with the other models in its electric range.
"With its compact design and tight turning circle, thanks to its load-sensing steering system, this highly versatile, three-wheel electric range now incorporates an SEM controller with MOSFET microprocessor control of the traction and hydraulics," says a spokesman for the UK-based Hyster Europe. "With only one contactor needed for the motor, the series offers smoother, quiet, reliable operation and longer motor brush life, with the added benefit of 500-hour service intervals."
Other key features that come as standard are the five-position tilt steering column and fully-adjustable semi-suspension seat with armrests, low-effort, contoured levers, the Hyster Monotrol pedal and an easy-to-read Powergauge instrument panel, the latter containing an hourmeter, battery discharge indicator and lift interrupt function for optimum productivity."
"With the recent improvements to the 'A' series Hyster has created a range of trucks capable of delivering high levels of productivity combined with superb performance, tremendous manoeuvrability and long battery shift life," the spokesman says. "Those benefits have been closely linked to highly economical running costs and a low, initial purchase price. In so doing Hyster has created a very attractive package for users wanting maximum value for their money."
Other electric counterbalance trucks in the Hyster range, all featuring SEM technology, include the J1.60-2.00XMT three-wheel, front-wheel drive, series, the four-wheel E1.50-2.00XMS and E2.00-3.20XM series with conventional battery box and the J2.00-3.20XM series with drop battery box.
For heavy-duty applications Hyster also offers the E3.50-5.50XL series.
