Eleks plays key role in manufacturer's global success

Eleks, the export arm of Turkey's Elginkan Group says it ensures the success of the group overseas by following a pattern of constant restructuring, while at the same time developing and strengthening its sales and marketing activities.

The exporting arm, which was formed with the aim of providing a prompt response to its customers, has established distributorships outside Turkey and is in charge of the international trade and the export of all manufactured products within the group.
Established in 1950, the Elginkan Group has grown to become one of the largest manufacturers of plumbing products in Europe.
The company has a broad portfolio, which includes water, gas and steam fittings, ceramic sanitary ware, ceramic wall and floor tiles and bathroom accessories, instantaneous water heaters (gas), storage water heaters (gas), combi-boilers, central heating boilers, floor type boilers, radiators, stoves, die-cast aluminium and cast iron products, automotive parts, special machine tools, cutting tools and dies.
The company is also involved in the processing of raw chemicals for medicines and raw materials for industry and the manufacture of medicines.
According to a spokesman for the group, Elginkan operates advanced production techniques and uses high quality raw materials and superior components in all its processes.
The group has been maintaining the highest standards for quality in production at its various facilities, and has also been consistent in making prompt deliveries of finished products to the markets.
The factories under the group have developed 'extra clean' technology, and have earned ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications for quality and for effective environmental management respectively from certifying agencies, according to the spokesman.
The various products of the group have been awarded with DIN (Deutsches Institut fur Normung), NF, LGA, KIWA, CGA, IAPMO, ETA, WRAS, GOST R and Watermark standards, he adds.
