Saudi Arabia's leading property developer, Rikaz, has unveiled plans for a new shopping complex, to come up at Jeddah, in the Spring. Once complete, the mixed-use project is expected to redefine the shopping experience in the city.
The 100,000 sq m Serafi Mega Mall will provide room for 200 retail shops, five major anchor stores and a 15,000-sq m hypermarket.
A total of 65,000 sq m of retail space is available for lease at the mall, say officials.
In addition, there is a family entertainment centre, a separate fun centre for bachelors, a 5,000 sq m food court, a health and fitness centre and an attached six-storey, 15,000-sq m office building.
A family entertainment centre will offer a huge 15-m-high indoor hall housing an ice-skating rink, an indoor roller coaster, video games and a 3-D theatre.
The bachelors' car racing and entertainment centre offers games such as car racing, bowling, billiards, an Internet caf‚, a climbing wall and numerous video games. Other amenities will include prayer halls for 500 people.
