V&B launches new bathroom collection

01 March 2005

MeeTing the tastes of cultivated and upmarket clients, German manufacturer of bathroom accessories Villeroy & Boch has launched a new  bathroom collection – Bellevue – which the company claims will open up a totally new dimension in bathroom culture.

“Bellevue is the answer to the highest demands on form, style and quality,” says a company spokesman. “The range of bathroom accessories has been given life on the design boards of renowned designer, Rainer Moll and his team Molldesign. The designers have developed an extremely consistent, straight design for Bellevue, which transfers a classic use of shape into a timelessly-elegant style with a superior, opulent orientation,” he adds.
The classic combination of pure-white ceramic and highly expressive wood has been reinterpreted for Bellevue in a concept in which generosity and space play a special part. The elegant washbasin, which is also available in the glamorous, patterned Art déco version, is just as generously proportioned as the spacious furniture and luxurious bath, which is designed for two persons.
For the matching fitting Square Vogue, Rainer Moll and his team have reinterpreted the classic contours of the successful Square series, whose design displays clear retro characteristics. The result is a clear shape with classic, stylistic features, he says.
Bellevue is designed as an extremely comprehensive premium collection where consumers can choose from a vanity washbasin, two sizes of washbasin and a built-in washbasin, as well as a hand washbasin. A wooden cover is integrated into both the pedestal and trap cover, forming a direct link to the furniture range. The bathroom collection is completed by a washdown WC and bidet – each available in wall and floor-mounted models – a urinal and matching WC and bidet seats. The collection, equipped with the comfortable Quick Release and Soft Closing innovations are particularly comfortable and pleasant to use, he says.
In addition to the “home furniture”, the versatile furniture range includes various washbasin base cabinets and a high-level cupboard with integrated full-length mirror. A base cabinet with two drawers has been developed for the fitted washbasin. Completing the range are a mirrored bathroom-cabinet, two different illuminated mirrors with wooden frames and a small mirror without lighting for the hand washbasin.
The range is complemented by spacious 100 by 200-cm baths, which perfectly match the collection design. A characteristic feature is found in the projecting edge, which is drawn 5 cm above the wooden panels in an elegant sweep. Available in all acrylic colours, the bathtub comes in five different versions: free standing with wooden panels; wall-mounted; to be fitted in a left or right-hand corner, or in a niche. If required, the range can also be equipped with all of Villeroy & Boch’s whirlpool systems.
The Square Vogue fitting series consists of a three-hole mixer for washbasin and bidet and a mixer with a separate showerhead for the bathtub, which is mounted on the edge of the tub. Also available for the shower is the xStream system.
As both lines are formally related, fittings from the existing Square range can also be used as accessories. Square Vogue is supplied in both chrome and matt-platinum metal surface finishes.
Founded in 1748, in the Duchy of Lorraine, the company has in the course of time developed from a manufacturer and marketer of high-quality ceramic products into a lifestyle specialist of worldwide renown, offering complete solutions for the private and commercial sectors.
As a brand manufacturer with its own distinctive style, Villeroy & Boch offers a product range of unrivalled variety and individuality - covering every lifestyle and every home interior scenario.
The company’s four divisions – Tableware, Bathroom, Kitchen and Tiles, Wellness and Project Business – go beyond the marketing of individual products to offer integral concepts and solutions such as complete tableware ranges, bathroom interiors and turnkey bathroom projects in the national and international commercial sector, the spokesman concludes.
