WoodWORKING machines manufacter Weinig of Germany is now targeting the region’s market with its recently introduced Powermat 1000, which it describes as cost-effective and flexible moulder technology designed to meet the needs of its demanding customers.
The Powermat 1000 from the company’s medium-range moulder class meets the requirements of today’s woodworking business for small runs, one-off production and tight delivery schedules, says a company spokesman.
Weinig’s Powermat 1000 is equipped with the new revolutionary Weinig moulder technology and sets a new standard in the moulder field. The most outstanding feature is the patented PowerLock Tooling System. Since the spindle and tool holder have been designed to form a solid, tolerance-free unit, it not only allows tool speeds up to 12,000 rpm but also produces a superior surface finish at the same time. The frequency-controlled feed ranges from 6 to 36 m/min (20 to 120 ft/min), says the spokesman.
Thanks to the PowerCom control system, the Powermat 1000 can be set up in the shortest time.
“The EasySet Hoods adjust to the changing tool diameter and contributes to the high quality of the finished work pieces. The various software options also make it possible to meet almost any requirements for data organisation and management,” he adds.
The new Powermat 1000 comes with a Touch-Screen operation that makes it almost foolproof. The option to choose between five and 11 tool holders allows the opportunity to design a moulder that matches the applications.
A particularly attractive feature is that the customer can decide himself to which extent he wants to convert to the new PowerLock technology, because the Powermat 1000 can be used with both conventional tools and PowerLock tools. The chrome-plated tables are a testimony to the worldwide-renowned Weinig quality. With various options, this machine can meet almost any individual requirements, he adds.
